Nike John
Founder and CEO
About Nike
Nike John is the founder and CEO of The Heritage Club and The Boston Heritage Fund. At 29 years old, Nike founded the Boston-based cannabis dispensary and its non-profit subsidiary to support safe cannabis consumption within the community and fight back against the war on drugs. Nike is currently the youngest dispensary owner in Boston. A Boston native, Nike is proud to support the growth of her community through her business and non-profit.
Nike has always been an entrepreneur. While in college, she started her first career in Boston’s residential real estate market and has been selling and renting homes for over 9 years. Now, she’s using her real estate experience to segue into cannabis retail at her first location in Charlestown and has quick plans for expansion.
Nike felt called to reinvent what it meant to be a black business owner in the cannabis industry. Cannabis has long been a taboo topic for people of color and there are still many behind bars for cannabis crimes. When she did not see many others who looked like her owning businesses in the cannabis space, she felt a calling to change this. The legal cannabis industry stems from a call to end the war on drugs, which predominantly affects Black and Brown individuals in the U.S. Nike felt she had to show that Black people and women deserve ownership in this new industry as much, if not more, than anyone else.
